Copywriting: Encouraging the IT industry to give to charity

IT Relief

The huge success of Comic Relief encouraged a spin-off charity focused on the IT industry. Called IT Relief, the charity needed the support of copywriting and web programming skills to create a series of press releases to announce the charity events that were sponsored by some of the major names in the IT industry including Sun, HP and Livingston.

The IT Relief web site was the focal point of the charity's marketing programme and run in conjunction with Comic Relief's larger web site. Content management of the web site quickly became part of the brief.
